151-G Gold Iridescent Chromate for Zinc and Cadmium
DESCRIPTION:
Triple-s 151-G is a powder, which is dissolved easily in water to form iridescent chromate on zinc and cadmium. The solution does not require any acid for both, acid and cyanide zinc and cadmium plated parts.
SOLUTION MAKE UP:
| Triple-s 151-G powder: |
1 to 2 oz./gallon. |
| Temperature: |
60 º to 90 º F. |
| Time: |
15 to 45 seconds. |
Lower concentrations are used for light coatings. Darker coatings can be obtained by either using the higher concentrations of 151-G powder or longer treatment time. The usual treatment time is about 15 seconds.
OPERATION INSTRUCTION:
Simply immerse the zinc and Cd plated parts in151-G solution for sufficient time to produce the desired film. Treatment time will usually be about 15 seconds, but the immersion time needed will gradually increase with the age of solution.
The result of treatment with 151-G solution for the parts plated by cyanide zinc or alkaline is as good as for the parts plated by acid zinc.
EQUIPMENT:
P.V.C. Polyethylene, rubber lined steel or stainless steel tanks are recommended.
TOXICITY:

For eye contact, flush with a continuously flowing stream of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician without delay. Launder contaminated clothing before re-use.
