DX - 232

DESCRIPTION:

Triple-s DX-232 is a new aluminum desmutter with greatly increased effectiveness. It is particularly designed for etch lines where desmutting conditions are severe.

UNUSUAL FEATURES:

• Triple-s DX-232 desmutts problem alloys such as 2024 and 6061 in three minutes or less.
• De-smutting of other alloys is more rapid and efficient.
• In spite of the extremely rapid re-smutting action, DX-232 is inhibited so that there is not the slightest attack on the base metal.
• The base metal is left bright and oxide free with no haziness or films present.
• Triple-s DX-232 provides excellent de-smutting action at extremely low concentrations. Drag out in therefore greatly reduced.
• DX-232 has superior capacity for oxides, thus providing a very long life with low up-keep.

OPERATING CONDITIONS:

TYPICAL DE-SMUTTING CYCLE:

• Soak clean.
• Cold water rinse.
• Etch.
• Cold water rinse.
• De-smutt, DX-232 at 5 oz. per gallon and 5 % (by volume) of Sulfuric Acid.
• Cold water rinse.
• Anodize.

TANK CONSTRUCTION:

Plastic lined (Polyvinyl Chloride, Polyethylene, etc...) tanks are preferred. Unlined Steel tanks are unsatisfactory.

Triple-s DX-232 is manufactured under the most strict quality control standards. Only the best grade of raw materials both in purity and in refinement are used in Triple-s Formulas and a retainer sample is kept from each product manufactured.
