SILVER LOOK
For Brass and Copper		  

General Description:

This is a unique formula designed to develop a Silver look on Brass, copper or their alloys. Deposition on silver plate and sterling silver is also possible. This solution is a non-cyanide liquid for the chemical silvering of different metals at room temperature. It is widely used on lighting fixtures, lamps, sculptures, hardware, gift items, and furniture. The surface will not chip, flake or peel.

Directions for usage:

  • Clean the part with Cleaner 104 (one part of Cleaner 104 with two parts of water).
  • Rinse in water.
  • If the parts are to be given a "Pewter Look" with dark areas, first darken the parts in C-22 Antique or Triblack C-1, according to their instructions (both products should be diluted with 5 parts of water before use) for 30 seconds to 1 minute, followed by a rinse and drying. Highlight the parts with steel wool or steel brush or a buffing wheel. Clean again and dry.
  • Apply the Silver Immersion solution with a brush or dip for 5 to 10 seconds; brush a few times if necessary. If parts are originally bright, pewter look will give a bright finish. Rinse the parts with water or a sponge and wipe dry.
  • Lacquer the parts using Triple-s WSL-55 or Trilac-747, our water soluble, non-flammable lacquer.
