PEWTER LOOK-F

General Description:

This is a unique formula designed to develop a pewter look deposit on Ferrous Metals by Immersion or rubbing. This solution is a non-cyanide solution for the chemical Pewtering of different metals at room temperature. It is used on lighting fixtures, lamps, sculptures, hardware, gift items, and furniture. The surface will not chip, flake, or peel.

Method of application:

  • Clean the parts with Cleaner 104 or Silver Polish 105.
  • Rinse in water.
  • Deep the part in our Immersion Copper for 10-20 seconds at room temperature.
  • Rinse with water.
  • Apply the PEWTER LOOK solution with a cloth or brush for 10 seconds; rubbing several times. If parts are originally bright, a Pewter Silvery deposits will develop. Rinse the parts with water or a sponge and wipe dry.
  • If the parts are to be given "dark Pewter Look" with dark areas, first darken the part in Triblack C-22 antique or Triblack C-1,(According to their instructions, both products, should be diluted with 5 parts of water before use, for 30 seconds to 1 minute) followed by a rinse and drying. Highlight the part with steel wood or steel brush or a buffing wheel. Then apply Pewter Look on top of the highlighted area. Clean again and dry.
  • Lacquer the parts using Triple-s WSL-55 or Trilac-747, our water-soluble non-flammable lacquer.

NOTE: To apply the pewter look direct on Steel parts, the clean part should be Immersed in Pewter Look for 2 minutes; then rinse, dry and lacquered.
