General Description:
Black on Silver is another Triple-s Chemical product designed to develop a deep black (jet black) color on silver-plated parts as well as sterling silver. This solution is a non-Chromated, non-cyanide liquid developed for blackening silver. It is widely used on silverware, sculptures, gift items, and decorations. The blackened surface will not chip, flake or peel. Also, the color will not change or gray in time.
Method of application:
- Clean the part in SM-255 soak cleaner or SM-405 cleaner booster or like product.

- Apply the Black on Silver solution with a brush or spray (as is, without dilution) for 5 to 10 seconds.

- A clear water-soluble lacquer, Trilac-747 should be applied by dip, brush or spray to protect the parts from becoming oxidized (dulled in color, tarnished). The lacquer will not affect the blackened area.
