TIN IMMERSION For Brass and Copper alloys |
General Description:
This is a unique formula designed to develop a bright pure Tin deposit on Brass, Copper or their alloys. This solution is a non-cyanide liquid for the chemical tinning of different metals at room temperature. It is widely used on lighting fixtures, lamps, sculptures, hardware, gift items and furniture. The surface will not chip, flake or peel.
Method of application:
- Clean the part with Cleaner 104 (1 part of cleaner 104 with 2 parts of water).
- Apply the Tin Immersion solution with a brush or dip for 5-10 seconds; brush a few times if necessary. If parts are originally bright, Pure Tin Deposits will give a bright finish. Rinse the parts with water or a sponge and wipe dry.
- If the parts are given a "Tin Look" with dark areas, first darken the parts in C-22 Antique or Triblack C-1, according to their instructions (both products should be diluted with 5 parts of water before use) from 30 seconds to 1 minute, followed by a rinse and drying. Highlight the part with steel wood or steel brush or a buffing wheel. Clean again and dry.
- Lacquer the parts using Triple-s WSL-55 or Triple-747, our water-soluble, non-flammable lacquer.
